The next nuclear IPO is expected next week.
Standard Nuclear set terms for its IPO – targeting a $3.7 billion valuation.
The Tennessee company plans to sell 18.25 million shares at $18 to $21 apiece, raising roughly $356 million. It will list on the NYSE under the ticker STDN.
Standard Nuclear (NYSE: STDN)

Shares Offered: 18.25 million
Target Raise: $356 million
Market Cap at IPO: $3.7 billion (midpoint)
Pricing: July 15, 2026

Here's what makes this one different from the nuclear IPOs I've covered this year.
Standard Nuclear doesn't build reactors. It makes the fuel.
Specifically, it makes TRISO fuel — a coated, accident-tolerant fuel used in many of the small modular reactors and microreactors now in development. Think of it as the picks-and-shovels layer of the nuclear buildout.
And the company claims to be the only operator of an industrial-scale, privately funded TRISO production line in the United States. It's already shipping fuel for reactor demonstrations scheduled this year.
Investors in the company include Andreesen Horowitz and Chevron Technology Ventures among others.
The latest private round in January 2026 valued Standard Nuclear at $834 million. The expected IPO could provide these Pre-IPO investors with a 343% return in 6-months.
This is an early-stage company. That $3 million in revenue came with a net loss of roughly $15 million, and gross margins are deeply negative as it scales production. The $3.7 billion valuation prices in a lot of future success.
Standard Nuclear also has a $245 million contract backlog and a qualified pipeline beyond that. These are real demand signals, though much of a backlog like this tends to be options and letters of intent rather than firm orders.
The most recent nuclear IPO was X-Energy (Nasdaq: XE). That nuclear IPO priced at $23 in April. Shares has a big pop on debut and then drifted well below its offer price in the months since.
Pricing will be determined on July 15. And trading is expected on July 16.
