It’s called Starmind.

Elon Musk just confirmed that’s the name of SpaceX's most ambitious project yet.

Go here for details on secret stock behind Elon’s huge initiative.

On June 23, Musk announced Starmind — following a trademark filing by xAI that surfaced earlier in the week.

Starmind isn't Starlink. The two are built on the same orbital infrastructure, but they do completely different jobs.

Starlink moves data. Its satellites relay internet between points on Earth — essentially a very fast pipe in space. They don't think.

Starmind is a constellation of orbital AI data center satellites. Its satellites would run AI directly in orbit using onboard processors, then beam the results down to users anywhere on Earth within milliseconds — without the data ever touching a ground-based data center.

The scale is staggering.

SpaceX has requested FCC approval for a constellation of up to one million AI satellites. The idea is to turn low-Earth orbit into a giant distributed computer.

Orbital AI data centers are the alternative to earth-based data centers. Building on Earth is getting harder. AI computing eats enormous amounts of power, water, and land — and hyperscalers are running into grid limits, permitting battles, and community opposition.

In orbit, the math changes. Solar power is unlimited. The vacuum handles cooling. There are no local or state zoning boards. There’s no community opposition.

Elon recently explained that space to become the lowest-cost place to deploy AI compute within two to three years.

The launch economics are the key. Starship can carry 30 to 50 of the AI satellites per flight — the equivalent of dozens of server racks — with no land to buy, no grid approval required, no batteries, and no cooling equipment.

The timeline is moving fast. Two prototypes are targeted for early 2027. And higher volume production is expected by late next year at a new facility called Gigasat.

Here's why this is such a breakthrough.

Starmind is the clearest signal yet of where Musk is taking SpaceX. The company already owns most of the pieces — satellite manufacturing, laser links, Starship to launch at scale, and the xAI relationship for the models themselves.

And the customer base isn't just Grok.

A constellation of orbiting processors could run AI workloads for Google, Anthropic or Microsoft.

Starmind, Starship, Starlink, and xAI all connect into one bigger picture — Elon Musk’s Ultimate Master Plan.

Five hidden stocks are critical to powering this new project. And my research suggests these stocks could see significant upside in 2026.
