SpaceX plans to go public next week.

That creates an urgent timeline for investors who want to invest – before the Nasdaq listing. And it could allow you to secure a stake at a big discount to the IPI price.

SpaceX IPO Frequently Asked Questions

My office has been getting a lot of emails about Space Exploration Technologies – better known simply as SpaceX. So, I want to take a minute to answer the biggest questions.

When is the Initial Public Offering expected?

SpaceX kicks off its Wall Street roadshow on June 4. That sets the company up for an Initial Public Offering as soon as June 12.

What will be the valuation?

Private discussions about SpaceX valuation have ranged from $1.75 - $2 trillion. The latest report from The Information indicates that the expected IPO valuation is at the lower end of that range.

The IPO share price and market capitalization will be determined the day before the stock is expected to begin trading. Current reports suggest that will happen on June 11.

How much money will the company raise with the IPO?

It’s estimated that the company will raise $75 billion in cash from the stock offering. This would be 2x larger than the $29.4 billion raised by Saudi Aramco when it went public in 2020.

Why is the company raising money and going public?

There are three primary initiatives that are extremely capital intensive. This includes 1) scaling up the reusable Starship launch platform, 2) creating a constellation of orbital AI datacenters, and 3) the rapid expansion of Starlink.

What will be the exchange and ticker symbol?

SpaceX will go public on the Nasdaq with the ticker symbol SPCX. The Nasdaq Stock Exchange is home to the majority of tech stocks – including Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA).

Additionally, the Nasdaq agreed to bend the rules to allow for faster inclusion of SpaceX in the Nadaq Composite and Nasdaq 100.

There’s still time to secure a stake in SpaceX before it goes public. And this could allow you to invest at a deep discount to the official IPO price.
