Editor’s Note: Quantum computing IPOs are soaring +756%. Now a new quantum security company is preparing to open a final Pre-IPO financing – before going public on Nasdaq or the NYSE.

There's a massive chip IPO coming to the Nasdaq — and it starts trading this week.

SK Hynix filed a registration statement with the SEC on June 24, taking a major step toward a US listing under the ticker "SKHY."

The South Korean company is the world's second-largest maker of DRAM and NAND flash memory — and the top supplier of the high-bandwidth memory (HBM) chips that power Nvidia's AI accelerators.

Here are the key details:

  • Exchange & Ticker: Nasdaq: SKHY

  • Expected Pricing: July 9, 2026

  • First Trading Day: July 10, 2026

  • ADS Price: ~$166 each

  • Shares Offered: 17.79 million (~2.5% of shares outstanding)

  • Deal Size: ~$29.4 billion

  • Underwriters: BofA, Citi, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan

SK Hynix already trades in Korea, so this isn't a company going public for the first time. The Nasdaq listing is an American Depositary Share offering — providing a way for US investors to buy the stock. SK hopes a new pool of potential investors will help to close a valuation gap with its American rival.

That rival is Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU), the only US-based major memory maker. HSBC estimates the Nasdaq listing could lift SK Hynix's valuation by roughly 20%, raising its price-to-book ratio from 2.8 to 3.4 and narrowing the gap with Micron.

The financials are the real story here.

SK Hynix pulled in $85.3 billion in sales over the last twelve months, up 47% year over year. In the first quarter of 2026 alone, sales jumped 198% and net income hit $26 billion. That's the AI memory shortage showing up on the income statement.

Memory prices have climbed to record levels amid a worldwide shortage. Micron, SK Hynix and Samsung — the three largest makers — now each carry a market cap above $1 trillion.

The demand isn't slowing. Just this week, Samsung, SK Hynix, and the South Korean government announced plans to invest over $500 billion in a new chip-making hub with four new memory plants. SK Hynix plans to use IPO proceeds for its own capacity expansion and advanced EUV lithography equipment.

This is one of the largest IPOs of the year in a market on pace for a record $251 billion raised. And it gives US investors direct access to a memory company sitting at the center of the AI memory boom.

SKHY prices July 9 and starts trading July 10. I'll be watching closely.

Are you interested in investing in stocks – before the IPO?

I was recently in New York City to meet with leadership at a breakthrough quantum technology company.

It could be critical to securing banks, digital assets, medical records, and our nation’s infrastructure and defense systems from quantum computing threats.

The company is preparing to raise a FINAL Pre-IPO financing. I’m personally investing – and I’d like to share details with you.
