Anthropic is becoming profitable – just as the company prepares to go public.

Analysts at SemiAnalysis now project the maker of Claude will clear more than $1 billion in operating profit in the third quarter.

Prior analysis has suggested that frontier AI labs including Anthropic and OpenAI have been staking up huge losses. This new analysis suggests that Anthropic has turned a corner.

Anthropic filed confidentially for its IPO on June 1. Reporting suggests a listing could come as soon as this fall — potentially beating OpenAI to Wall Street.

First-quarter revenue came in around $4.8 billion. Second-quarter projections put that at $10.9 billion. That's a jump of roughly 130% in a single quarter.

That leap delivered Anthropic's first-ever operating profit — about $559 million. SemiAnalysis expects the third quarter profit to double and exceed $1 billion.

Revenue is now running near a $47 billion annualized pace. Anthropic told investors it expects to cross $50 billion within weeks.

Just to put this in perspective – at the end of 2025 the revenue run rate was around $9 billion.

This is one of the fastest revenue ramps the market has ever seen. And it’s largely due to enterprise demand.

Claude Code took the software development world by storm this year. It grew from a $500 million run-rate last August to more than $2.5 billion by February. That's part of a bigger shift as Anthropic has moved into the lead in enterprise AI spending

Roughly 85% of Anthropic's revenue comes from enterprise and developer customers.

That's the good kind of revenue. It's stickier. It's higher-margin. And it doesn't depend on convincing hundreds of millions of free users to start paying.

Now compare that to OpenAI.

OpenAI's audited 2025 results reportedly showed about $13.1 billion in revenue against a net loss north of $38 billion. Its own forecast points to roughly $14 billion in losses this year.

Investors appear to be more excited about Anthropic than OpenAI. That’s likely due to the faster revenue growth and profitability.

Anthropic appears to be setup to IPO by the end of 2026. And that will make it the 2nd most watched IPO of the year.

My team just unveiled a new AI Profit Predictor. It’s an innovative way to use AI to find trades with a high probability of profit. And it’s already delivering amazing results.

This includes +100% gains with Tesla, Freeport, Disney, Iron Mountain and Paramount since May 14. Plus, a 228% gain on Freeport on June 22.

That’s 6 triple digit winners in the last 60 days!
